Hello!
I'm now starting to get more involved in our booster club and several of us have many questions regarding how things are done but never really get a straight answer. They often say it's "complicated". I'm sure it is though.
Some of things we are wondering and hoping someone can point us...
I tried doing a search but didn't find many posts on this.
It seems to not be as common as Osgood's?
My 9yr old was just diagnosed about 2 months ago. Her knee was pretty bad off before we got the diagnosis, we thought it was a fracture, she had a little pocket of fluid that you can see on her...
Well, my daughter injured her knee (most likely a fracture) and has been out for about 1 week with three more to go ( at least).
She's a level 6.
I'm trying to get ideas for what she can do for conditioning. I know..ask the coach.....BUT...
the first day she came in with her brace...
We are still at the beginning stages of this sport and we have a looot to learn. ;) So while my brain tells me she'll has time to recover....I'm not sure what to expect.
My soon to be 9yr old will be redoing level 5 this season (due to not having enough coaches - long story)
Anyway, she had...
Hello!
I think I've asked this before but need to hear it again! LoL
my dd just turned 8 last month and just started her level 5 season.
Her level 5 looks like it's starting off just like her level 4.
She ends up with middle of the road scores. I'm always blown away by so many in her age...
Her hair is almost down to her waist, it's very fine and curly.
She doesn't like it right behind her head because she says it gets in her way when she does her backwards roll? Not sure what it's called..they pretty much roll back to a push up position (level 4 floor).
So I try to do it way up...
Please, take a swing...bc deep down inside I'm KNOW I'm probably being unreasonable BUT I HAVE to ask.
For those that haven't already read my 1000 questions she's a young seven, level 4 USAG.
First season, 4th meet.
In everyone's experience, how much does how they do in level 4 weigh on how...
Yet another question...lol..
Again..level 4 USAG, young 7 :D
Coach says she looks sooo pretty doing her routines BUT she's "TOO artistic"..LOL..is there such a thing?:p
She explained it to me and it makes perfect sense, she's lacking "the lines", she's "flowing" too much.
I always told her...
I'm curious once again...
Level 4 USAG, on the beam no falls etc. but missed that handstand "twist" at the very end (not sure what it's called hahaha). Finishes and salutes etc.
Coach then tells her to try again. Gets it this time.
I'm wondering...I thought if her feet had hit the floor and she...
We just had a meet today, her second meet, level 4, just turned seven.
She fell off the bars on her shoot through (sp?) all of a sudden.
So this is what happened:
She gets on and completely forgets to do her front hip circle (has never happend before)! :D She goes on to do her shoot through...
LOL...o.k I shouldn't say how bad but I'm looking at them going...hmmmmm.
#1 and above all, she's THRILLED. She had five medals hanging from her neck and flowers from her parents.
When all was said and done she was so proud of herself and THAT is what I prayed for. Everything else is icing on...
VERY VERY new to this.
We'll be starting meets at the end of Aug. I believe. Our gym has not given us a schedule and I need to know if I pretty much need to clear my work schedule for the weekends!!!
USAG (we're in Texas).
I was just wondering the other day...I have NO idea what these meets are...
I think I read a thread on this but now I can't find it.
My daughter is turning seven next month. She's a level 4 and will start competing in the fall. She's been a level 4 for about a year but did not compete last year so she's training with level 5's as well (but competing level 4).
She...
My daughter is having a pretty hard time with her front hip circle. I was browing the net just to see if I could find anything to do at home to help her. I came across this post and thought I'd try it with her but ...I know very little about gymanstics "terms" so I'm pretty lost.
I looked up...
My daughter has been practicing her cartwheel on the beam for who knows how long and she CAN'T get it. She started off with a stripe on the floor etc. but as soon as she gets even on the bean that's on the floor, her foot lands on the left side. I figure, it's typical.
She has a low bean at home...
Hello!
This is my first post bc I'm clueless!
My dd is 5 and has been in a preschool advance class since right before she turned four. In our gym pa classes are for those that "are on their way" to team but of course who knows what might happen by the time they reach 6.
Anyway, in our gym they...
