Hi y’all people who know the COP well can you tell me the skill values and connection values for the following
Clear hip handstand + Clear hip 1/1 + Tckatchev
Toe on to HS + Bail to HS + Toe on to high bar
And what value is a full twisting double layout
Thanks you guys!
So my ODD just did level 9 and she competed a double tuck, a double full, and FHS FLO front pike. Whats required for level 10 tumbling and is this a good foundation. She is working double pikes and double lays on a soft landing and 2.5 twists. Any replies are appreciated...thanks.
So, this probably varies from gym to gym but how common is it to do multiple years of these levels. My ODD went from level 5 then tested out of 7, competed 8, then this year 9. She did very well and got 2nd AA at easterns. But at our gym its very common to compete 2 plus years of level 8 and 9...
Is there a deduction for lack of arch on a layout step out on beam? I have seen this skill two ways like this
at 6:15 and
Which one is the "correct" way to do it? Im confused
Thanks!
My daughters level 7/8 group consists of 7 including her. She's the youngest, 8, and the oldest is 11. This past week we had a new girl come to our gym, she competed level 7 this past season so she's in my DDs training group. She's 15 and at least a foot taller than the second tallest girl in...
So, my youngest daughter, 8 years old, just competed level 7. On beam, her series and dismount was BHS BHS BLO. I know that in level 7 you can't to 3 of the same skill...(right!?) and I think the plan for level 8 is to do BHS BLO step out and BHS BHS BLO as dismount. I know her coaches can't be...
My level 7 has developed a strange problem with letting go too early on flyaways. It happened the week after regionals. She just goes really far and suddenly can't seem to figure out how to let go at the right time. Help please! Are there any drills she could do, things she could tell herself...
So lets say you have to gymnasts, one competes the bare minimum requirements but the routine is extremely clean, the other gymnast competes a harder version of the routine (front handspring layout instead of front handspring front tuck in L7 floor) she too is extremely clean. They both have 3...
So, my daughters coaches, her bar coach especially (male) tells her "good girl" when she's corrected something or done something really well. She was apparently talking to her friends from school and that came up and her friends thought it was creepy. She's never had a problem before with him...
My dds have state meet this weekend, they are both eager to please, type A, perfectionists. My younger one is extremely nervous for the meet and she keeps saying "What if i don't make regionals?" "What if I fall" and i keep telling her "You've gotten 36.8 plus at all your meets this season!!!"...
So, I am one of the moms thats in charge of the end of season banquet this year and I was asked to come up with new ideas for awards. So I came up with an award for gymnasts who got on the MyMeetScores top 100 scores list. There are 6 at our gym so far. Do y'all think thats too little
What do...
So my daughter, level 9 is starting to put release moves on the single bar with a coaches spot. She consistently catches her geingers and is begining to start those with out spot. She's working on thatcher drills and starting jaegers with a spot. It seems like a lot to have her be working two...
So my daughters gym started a reward system for the level 5s through 8s. I think they chose those ages because they should be young enough to respond to rewards but old enough to understand it. Any way they started this two weeks ago and Im not quite sure of the specifics (my 9 year old isn't...
What does your DD or DS do the practice after meets
My daughters and their team mates do something called "rose and thorn" (one good thing about your meet and one thing you want to improve about their meet). If they fell on anything at the meet they have to make 10 of whatever skill they fell...
My daughter who is competing level 7 this year is competing a BHS BHS on beam. She learned her BHS on beam doing a stick and thats whats more comfortable for her. She did BWO BHS with the BHS landing on two feet. She made the choice this summer to do a step out BHS to stick series. She's one of...
My gym does something called routine verification. Its normally in mid September and its only for our level 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s, and 10s. Its where the gymnasts perform on all events and its really like a practice meet except for the fact that they can vault onto a soft landing instead of competition...
My daughters had their first meet this season and they have around 4 weeks until the next one. Their coaches want to upgrade their routines already. My 8 year old level 7 is doing a BHS BHS on beam and they want to connect it to a back tuck dismount. They are also prepping to put a full twist...
