Hello! I am a high school gymnastics coach and this January we will have our 2nd annual play for the cure meet to raise awareness and money for breast cancer.
Last year we had tshirts that said: chalked up and flipping for a cure.
Any ideas for tshirt slogans that I can use this year?
Thanks!!!
Wish I could make it...
Wish I knew about the meet sooner. I use to go to Capital, and would love to get by there and see Barry and Chrissy again :)
I haven't don't gymnastics though in probably a year, so wouldn't have anything put together in time for the meet.
You guys have a fabulous time!!!
I am really thinking about competing in Virginia Beach in August at the Jr Olympic Games.
Can someone tell me what the difference is between competing as an intermediate optional and a level 8? Also, is there somewhere I can find out the requirements and skills that are needed to be put in to...
So after reading everyone else's posts on here about the meet, I am really wanting to go and compete.
What's the difference between level 8 and Intermediate Optional? I am 30 and use to be a level 9, but that was 18 years ago. I just recently started working out during an open gym, but it's...
I'm in Virginia and have been looking for some adult meets around here. What are the requirements for the meet in Va Beach? I would love to join you :)
I would love to go, but I don't think I will make it this year.
I just found a gym around my area that offers an open gym time each weekend. I've been working out for the past few weekends and am really enjoying it.
I just wouldn't know where to start as to entering and coming up with...
Does anyone know of a gym in Central Virginia that offers adult gymnastics classes?
I found a place in Northern Virginia, but it is about 90 minutes each way, and it was just too much.
I would love to get back into the sport though.
Thanks for any help!!!!

Hello everyone! I am head coach of a high school gymnastics team in Virginia.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a good website to order t-shirts, etc. from?
Also, does anyone know of good gymnastics sayings that can go on the shirts?
Thanks for all your help!!!
So...I went to my first gymnastics meet as an adult this past weekend in North Carolina. I can't believe how much fun it was. We rotated with a younger group of Mod-Ops and they were so supportive of us. It was great.
Here are my results...8.8 on floor - 1st place, 8.7 on beam - 1st place...
I wish they had a team in Virginia that I could join. I finally found a gym with an adult gymnastics class, but it's not really a team, just working out, and it's an hour from where I live.
I entered an AAU meet in 2 weeks, so I have put together my own routines and am going to be my own...

You lie on your back in a hollow position and slowly bring your legs up to horizontal then bring them back down again, w/o letting your legs touch the floor.
This is a conditioning exercise I use with my high school team girls. It is challenging, works all the muscles, and you can do everything at home.
