WAG Washing beam shoes

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of stink on beam shoes. I don’t want to completely soak them in water because I’m worried it may ruin their snap and possibly shrink them.(curious if anyone has tried this) I have tried using a tooth brush and a bit of water with laundry detergent to was them but that didn’t get rid of the stink and I also have tried shoe spray and that didn’t work. I usually just buy a new pair but I have been through 4pairs in 6months and I would rather just be able to wash them.
