My daughter is just a level 4 so it doesn’t pertain to her, but I’m curious about the 180 degree leap requirement in level 6/7. I see a lot of routines at those levels that have leaps that clearly do not meet 180. I know they receive deductions on the leap, but let’s say it’s 140-160 degrees, do they also lose 0.5 for missing a SR?

Here's the link to variety of dance technique requirements and specifications:
https://usagym.org/PDFs/Women/Rules/J.O. Code of Points/appndx09_DanceTechnique_0518.pdf

Insufficient split - up to .20 deduction
Legs not parallel to beam/floor - up top .20 deduction
Less than 135° split - recognize as different element

So 140-160 degrees gets a deduction up to .20 but gets the split requirement. If less than 135 degree split, will likely get an SR deduction plus any other deduction for the particular skill it is assigned.
