First T&T meet coming up soon.

I will preface this by saying I am in Canada, so there could be a bit of difference with how things run in the states, but I have also been to a meet overseas, and it ran pretty much the same. In my experience, unless you are the first flight or two, it never runs on time. They try not to run...

    Singlets

There was at one point a rule for girls that said the dress could not go further than your butt. However, I did get in touch with our local judging head who said they were discussing the shorts/leggings rules, and we did have a few muslim athletes compete in matching pants and hijabs last year...

    Singlets

So T&T tends to be one of the more co-ed disciplines, and I was wondering if anyone had heard of someone competing in the female divisions in a singlet/shorts? I'm currently seeking out a definitive answer on whether this is allowed in my region, but the singlets run so much cheaper, and there...

    WAG Tattoo? Wisdom teeth?

I do trampoline (so high friction) and got a tattoo on my upper back (hits every time you do a back drop) 4 days before a competition. It was fine, but I would suggest wearing clothes to practice that cover the new tattoo until it isn't tender. And hitting new tattoos on things does smart a...

    Tattoo/art question

Okay, now I am not in the US, so the rules may be slightly different there, but I am a judge and am familiar with the rules in Canada, as well as internationally. Here, tattoos are not a deduction. Which is good, because I have 4, all of which are visible in my comp leo, one that goes across my...

    T&T Hours

Wow, I feel like I train a ton now :). currently we are at about 20 hrs/week for summer (although optional when you go, so I have been going 16hrs instead) and when September comes we do 4hrs 3x a week. Our entire comp program trains the same hours (with the exception of the seniors and one...

    Watching the seniors - P&G

About the beads, I also don't think it is that weird. I am quite a bit older than her, and my gym has quite a few people around 15ish, and we get stickers for mastering special routines, and a cookie for each stick at a competition, a candy if you complete all tramp routines (T&T). Everyone who...

Converting from cheer...T&T a better fit than Artistic?

Canadian t&t gyms differ a lot in what events they compete. Some just do tramp, some all 3, some tumbling and dmt. At mine you have to compete tramp, but the other two are more optional. And some are much more picky in who they take. Feel free to pm me. Canadian t&t is pretty small and I might...

    eyewear and training

I have a pretty mild prescription. I don't know my glasses prescription off the top of my head, but my contacts one is about -1.5 in one eye, -3.25 in the other

    eyewear and training

So currently I wear contacts during practice/competition, and glasses the rest of the time. however, my contacts have a habit of slipping during routines, and I really hate wearing them to begin with. I find them uncomfortable. I have been looking at the possibility of lasik, but that would...

WAG What rewards do you do?

My gym does candy for each stuck routine at a meet (or cookies, etc. 1 for each routine stuck), treats on birthdays. other than that, you get a quarter the first time you touch the ceiling on the lower tramp, and a cheeseburger the first day you connect your ROBHS. dunno where that last one came...

How many leos do you have?

I currently have 1 long sleeve, 3 3/4 sleeves, and 11 training suits. And I will be getting another training suit and long sleeve next month, as part of a uniform

    Favorite and Least favorite skill?

I really hate codys (back tuck from stomach-I do T&T) and right now my favorite skill is double pike, but I think that is because I just got it.

    Trampoline help

It is a seat drop full turn back to seat drop. I still make this mistake when I do them, but my coaches never say anything (which is a little odd, because they fix everything else). I think it is just the amount of rotation and timing.
