WAG Where to buy Gymnastics Leotards in L.A or Vegas?

Enjoy your visit to the US! A local brand to the southern CA area (though, they do ship internationally) is K-Bee Leos. They are on Norco. You can visit their shop at the manufacturing location. They also sell at meets in the area. You can also call them and ask where/when they will be selling...

Parents How would you handle with 5 yo?

Yes, conditioning at age 5 for gymnastics can be this intense. There's a chance they could be preparing her to compete starting at age 6, next season. If that's the case, they have one year to get her ready. That time will fly! They will want to build strength, flexibility, focus and then the...

    WAG Region 5 question.

I see. It's nice that they do a specific AA cutoff. That way it seems like they will have a good amount of girls who may be able to qualify.

    WAG Region 5 question.

Last season R6 had a regional meet for level 7. My dd scored a 37.05 at states. I recall they took the top 30 girls, straight down the line. Not the top 30 scores, but top 30. So, if 3 or 4 or 5 girls all got the same score and they were in the line of the top 30, they went to regionals. My...

Parents social group for L8 and L9 parents

Are people still being added to the level 8/9 social group? If so, I would like to be added. My daughter will be competing level 8 this upcoming season. Just got the green light from the coaches last week at our parent/gymnast/coach conference meeting. Thanks!!

WAG 7 year old Level 4,5 or 6?? Coaches input needed

You make such an excellent point about level 7. My daughter scored very well in compulsory levels. She also did well at the new optional 6 as well. Hitting level 7, it was a new game. 37's were much tougher to come by, where 38's were more commonplace for her up to that point. It was a big...

    WAG Under Armour competition leos

Our optional girls have the UA long sleeve competition leos with the patterns and bling. They've held up extremely well, even with many washings. I would recommend them. I felt like they ran similar in size to GK for my daughter. She's more of the stockier gymnast build.

WAG 7 year old Level 4,5 or 6?? Coaches input needed

My gymmie did old compulsory level 4 at age 6, levels 5 and 6 (score out of 6) at age 7. She did a year of the new optional level 6 at age 8 and level 7 at age 9. She will compete level 8 this upcoming season at age 10. We monitored her moving through the levels quite closely. It's been...

Parents Advice for parent of a young level 8

Parents Advice for parent of a young level 8

Thanks for your input! Boy, our gymmie is a late to bed kind of kid! Always has been. She is rarely asleep before 10:00, year round! Drives me somewhat crazy, lol. I try to count it as a blessing but theres some days she just needs more sleep! Especially during meet season.

Parents Advice for parent of a young level 8

It's super helpful that your daughter now has an earlier dismissal time. Mine won't have that till 7th grade. However, it's nice that she starts later, so some days she will finish homework in the morning if that night before was getting too late or after an extra tiring day. Best wishes!!

Parents Advice for parent of a young level 8

Thanks for the advice. Last year she was somewhat focused on an AA score to reach at her meets. It's a good reminder to have other goals as well, not always tied to a score. It can sure help with their mental state!

Parents Advice for parent of a young level 8

Poor girl with the growth side affects! My dd has been super healthy injury wise and we do count that as a huge blessing!! I also met her teachers and mentioned about her schedule and traveling for meets. They both seemed supportive so let's hope for a smooth transition! Best wishes to your...

Parents Advice for parent of a young level 8

It's good to know that your daughter had a smooth transition as a young level 8! My concern is being 10 and the many changes that start compounding on their little minds and bodies. We really try extremely hard to be low key about gymnastics at home. Hopefully doing the same will prove to be...
