    So what’s happening?

No more than 2 families allowed to meet outside, although on the other hand they are supposedly saying outdoor exercise is recommended so who knows is the answer to training outside. Currently at 11degrees wet and windy there isn’t much they could do either. Mine has a broken finger across the...

    Parents DD's gym is closing

So heartbreaking, I hope you find something else that she grows to love.

    Parents Getting discouraged

I hope you get a date to restart soon, both DD and DS have been out now for 24 weeks (we are in U.K.) so I understand how you feel. We finally have confirmation that DD goes back mid September and DS might restart September 1st (different clubs). They are both so excited to be able to start, DS...

    Return to Training

No nothing ☹️ DS is bored of the zoom training now so I really hope we get some information soon. Surely if non essential shops can open gymnastics gyms can?? Especially if they limit numbers.

Poll Discussion (from the reopening gymnastics clubs poll)

Last night on channel 4 (UK) there was a programme on South Korea’s response to COVID versus the UK. It was very interesting how well they kept it under control through the testing and tracking. But I can see how in many countries there would be an outcry at the invasion of privacy needed to do...

Who is still paying their gym fees?

Mrsp you may find that the gym doesn’t charge full for the first month when it reopens?

Who is still paying their gym fees?

I voted no, but this is the first week we haven’t paid anything, we paid full fees up until 1st May. Our club rents the gym and therefore are not being charged rental whilst closed. Our others clubs are asking for 15% so they can continue to pay the coaches, again no hire costs.

Parents Growth during the time off?

My DD 14 has been off for injuries prior to lockdown and she will be going back a totally different size and shape! Much curvier, around 5! inches taller and no idea how much heavier and with periods. She is a trampolinist and swimmer so hopefully it will not affect her too badly. DS is 11 and...

    MAG Home Training

DS is doing 2 live sessions a week, circuits with me and DD then he goes out on his mountain bike almost every day so after a week of literally nothing he is reasonably active. DD refuses to join in her one live session due to anxiety but is doing circuits and the challenge exercises set by her...

    Parents Coronavirus

We are all closed down now in UK. Both mine have been ill so we are in self isolation. I think it is a better than even chance they have both had it, him mildly, her slightly worse but now ok. Unfortunately no testing unless hospitalised so we can’t be sure. DD only recently returned to...

First T&T meet coming up soon.

UK based here, timings here are allowed to be 1 hour early maximum but obviously delays are limitless. They have to do general warm up ie running and stretching wherever they can find space then they get either a 2 touch warm up on the track/tramp or a set amount of time. We generally hang...

Have any T&T families been to this competition?

Hi, we haven’t been but a couple of the top gymnasts from DS club have been. They went as part of a GB squad and seems to be a high level meet with lots of international competition. It was great for them to have different and higher level competition as they do dominate here. Good luck

    Parents Posture

My DD and DS are the same. DD is currently having physio and some is development being mismatched and some laziness apparently. I have become a nag about it now!

Parents Dilemma with my daughter and competitive squad!

Difficult to know what your gym will say. My DD gym had issues with her taking time off for my mum’s funeral and missing a session a week was definitely unacceptable. DS is(unsurprisingly) at a different gym and they are totally flexible, he is allowed to turn up late when he has other things on...
