Thanks for the honesty, I did really rush when I made it, it's really hard to get my little brother to film for me so that's why I did it off different things. (so I he wouldn't get bored and go in the house.) your right though, now that I look at it, it is pretty sucky. I made this tutorial...
How to do a backflip - YouTube Hey guys I just put this up yesterday, I'm pretty new to tutorial making so let me know what you think. I should probably be watching your tutorials instead though since I'm just an open-gym gymnast. lol
I don't know if there's a lot of people on here that want to learn the muscle up, but if there is here's my tutorial YouTube - How to do the muscle up on Rings and Bar It's my first tutorial... Hopefully it's not too bad.
Hey Matthew,
I think working at a gym is a good idea.
As soon as I get my drivers license, I'm gonna try work at one. Maybe then I can learn some real gymnastics.
I'm super tall for gymnastics almost 6-5, but I like it a lot.
Being taller makes it harder... but it also makes you stand out more and is kinda cool in its own way.
I go to this gym called What's up gymnastics. I only go to open tumbling though. The coach there is is cool, he lets me try other things like rings, rope climbing and the foam pit.
Thanks for the answer.
Do guys wait to compete untill they are 17-18 because they aren't strong enough for some of the moves until then? That would explane why the younger gymnasts look so much skinnier than the older ones.
I remember when I was watching the olympics, they were saying Nastia will probably be to old to compete next time. But I've seen guys compete in their late thirtys.
I don't think my hips pop when I do the splits, but they feel stiff at first and kinda sore. When I lift my legs to the side and in other directions I feel it pop though.
They wouldn't let you go to the gym when your not working?
Was it cause you were over 18?
The gym I go to lets adults use the gym, not for gymnastics classes, but for open tumble and cheerleading though.
Thanks for all the replys.
When I went to the Dr. He said to strengthen my hips, he didn't take x-rays or anything, but maybe I should try harder to make them strong.
Thanks for the info.
I already have gone to the docters for hip popping and paine. He said I need to strengthen my hips. The way all my hip problems started was when I was at the beach one day, and a big wave crunched my back into a U and it hurt my hip too... that was befor I started...
