MAG Final meet before state

Well, D had his final meet before state. Good meet with some regional competition to deal with. He had ups and downs in this one. He has a cold, and I almost made him scratch. but no fever, just lots of coughing and runny nose.

Started on rings, normal eh routine. But then fell on his dismount.

vault.. great vault..STUCK IT! Seemed shocked by the events 1st place

Pbars: great routine, few steps on dismount, 2nd place

High bar: Solid, stuck. 1st place

floor: did full routine again, lots of steps...2nd place

pommel: Ran out of gas..completely. Fell off mid way thru, lost credit for skills.

Overall, placed 2nd in L9. Got beat pretty good by another kid in the region. Hopefully that will kick him into gear going into states and regionals!

Ds' s last meet before states is in the morning. not as big a deal at level 4 but I'm hoping he manages to hold all the events together. So far he's always dropped something in one or two events but he's performed well and the misses were one off type things. The first meet he forgot a hop on highbar, last meet he was the early session and would not try to reset his schedule so he really was half asleep through the first 2 events. he's learned some good lessons this season. Tomorrow should be fun.

Wow! Great vault! My son looked like he stuck his vault but was leaning forward and took a step at the last second- UGH! He would've placed first on vault.... Congratulations on a great level 9 meet!
