    MAG Changes Coming

My son told me there are big changes to the age groups starting next year. Guess we will finally be like the rest of the world and the age group will be as of January 1st. His coach said starting next year, he will compete at the age he is for the season. This apparently means since he will be...

    MAG Grips

Anyone have any recommendations for boys ring grips? My son told me his coach told him that he's been using girl ring grips this whole time (over 2 years). His coach referred us to Turn grips but said we can use any. Also, do any of you have more than one pair for your son?

    MAG Scoring

Did the scoring change for this season? My son is a level 7 and he keeps telling me his score is not out of 16 anymore. Does he mean the start value? I'm confused.

Does any of you feel that gymnastics promotes a anit-parent environment? In our gym, the coaches never come out to talk to the parents unless approached first. The only information I get is through my son, which isn't much. Recently, my son took a bad fall off HB. I motioned for him to come see...

    Hi From Chicago!! :-)

Hi everyone! Love this forum. I'm learning things all the time. I have a son who is a Level 6. He is awesome (have to say that I'm his mother). I have a love hate relationship with the sport. I love to see the gymnastics but hate the expense and time. As a nurse I also worry about the...
