I can’t decide if I think it’s all moving in the right direction or not. Every time I think it is another story comes out. But I do think there are things/ people really working to move things in the right direction. Look up mind flow athlete on Facebook.

R8 here. So far none of our meets are canceled. Only in state meet is states. All are drive able as long as you’re good with a couple of 10 hour drives:)

A zoom, fixed aperture lens. Something you can zoom in with and still be able to keep your aperture low enough for the horrible lighting at meets.
And sometimes it doesn’t get done. If I know one of them is mentally done for the day or just swamped with school I’ll help them out with their responsibilities or a sibling helps out that day with their job.

Most high school girls at our gym do a 2-6 practice. But even so, my daughter is just getting to the going to dances age and I would have no problem letting her miss practice to go if she wanted to. I mean their only a few times a year. Unless of course...
I just do not understand this. I have never felt like she nor anyone else in our family has missed out on anything due to gym, she is lvl 9, practices 30 hrs a week and she’s 12. And I have 3 other children that play sports as well.
She has the same responsibilities as the other 3 at home...

Nope because even if you have significant ties to the other country you still trained in USA and If you are trying to compete for a country that doesn’t have the same standards of coaching and equipment you have an unfair advantage over the native athlete and you’re potentially taking their spot.
