okay, so this fear is driving me insane.
i started back walkovers on beam during August. I got it the first night i started it, and it seemed so easy for me at the time. But ever sense then, each night, i go into my gym, do it on the fat beam (which is attached to a low beam), and then i...
I dont think one is BETTER than the other. They are just two different things :) personally, I am a defiantly powerhouse. I am a great at tumbling, but I have a lot less flow and grace than i do power.
I'm not sure if one lasts longer than the other, but i would say it depends on the gymnast. :)
okay. this was happening to me a couple years ago when I first got my back handspring. What I did was, I got a spot, even though i could do it on my own. When you get a spot, it helps you concentrate on the things wrong with the skill, rather than doing the actual skill. Good luck!!! :D
yeah a little... because she's a gymnast, too so I help her with some stuff... but only basic stuff, nothing huge, like front walkovers, and back walkovers. Anything more than that can be dangerous.
Yeah at my new gym it's like this :) We are all really nice to eachother and stuff :) but at my older gym, it was like this a lot, because everyone was always so awkward :b We could barely have a conversation

Here's what you do: first, make sure that you are going fast enough, because if you don't have enough speed, its much harder to get around.
Second, if the meet is that close, try to do anything just...
hehe im so happy! i went into the gym tonight, and i was determined to get my back tuck dismount, despite never trying it in my life :b so i got a couple spots and then i did it! off of the high beam! lol just so pumped right now. i just cant believe i have a new competition dismount! i have...
Okay so im getting sick of front tucks off of the beam (ugh sooo annoying.) so tonight in gym im starting a back tuck dismount :) so i was wondering if any of you EPIC people have any tips on how to do it?! thanks so much :) <3
