    Parents Need advice

Level 2 won't make a gymnastics career, but certainly can break one. If her experience is bad enough she won't continue after level 2. Yelling and crying on a regular basis is not ok. I agree with the others, talk to the coach and owner, but be prepared to run. Also, strongly consider the...

Parents Intense kindergarten+level 2 gymnastics. Help!

Sorry she is having such a rough time. I think the important thing to remember is there is nothing wrong with her for not adjusting to this schedule right away. The concerning part to me is that she does not seem to be enjoying school anymore. I would make a change now- talk to the teacher...

WAG Making up for lost time!!

Thanks for posting the videos! She has really great presentation for her age. I love the stuck landings. There is not one "right path". Seems that her coaches are doing what they think is the best for her. It is stressful for these kids to have to work routines and TOPs at the same...

    Parents leotards for tiny kids?

I would stick with what you are doing - leos that are a little big with shorts. This will get the most bang for your buck because she will eventually grow into her leotards. Gymcritter is a good option.

WAG Gymnasts: opinions of this jacket

I agree with the hoodies. You will likely get more people to buy them. Another idea is a long sleeve t-shirt designed by a few of the older girls on the team. Both would be nice for travel meets. Jackets are hard because there are so many options.

Parents I really need some help here

How are things going in other areas of life? Does she still have energy and focus when she is doing other things. If this is really only a problem with gymnastics then I agree try dropping her off and leaving. There is really no harm in trying that. Just let her know she is a big girl now...

    Parents Ice skating party

What does your daughter want to do? If she is in the double digits I would sit her down and help her make a pro / con list. She might surprise you and after you guys look at the list and discuss.

    Parents Flipfest camp hair question

Any chance big sister can help ? Even if they are not in the same cabin she might be able to do a quick ponytail for her little sister at breakfast. Also, you should let her know if she needs help with anything she should tell her counselor. I think you have some good ideas, shorter hair...

Parents Crying if I Don't Stay at Practice

First big hug for mom. It is hard to watch your baby cry. Is it possible that just being off from school has thrown her off a bit ? Also what is she doing all day now. Is she getting a ton of super fun mom time now during the day. It might just be hard to be away from you after hanging...

    WAG First Level 5 Meet

Good Job Kadee ! Mental blocks are so hard. I agree there are lots of high points from that meet - fighting for her high bar kip, qualifying for states, even going for her vault. Love that she is getting those little details down in her routines ( guess that means your baby is growing up a...

    WAG Injury Question

The advice that I always give to the cargivers of my patients is to trust your gut. If you are concerned that there is something wrong talk to a doctor. I want to echo what was said before - gymnast are difficult patients because they have this incredible ability to mask pain. The mechanism...
