My 13 year old gymnast got his last week. We scheduled it so that just by chance he has side effects the second dose of Pfizer (his 16 and 18 year old cousins didn’t, but his grandparents did) he is normally scheduled off the two days following, so no practice.

Mine’s a Christmas Kid. Will compete as a 15 year old being a 13 year old for December meets if he does any, and newly turned 14 for the rest.

We lost 4 compulsory and 3 Optionals. (Out of 28). None were Covid related, but the break helped them re-evaluate their gymnastics career.

The mushroom has been a great investment. We found ours on Craigslist for less than $100. You might see if any of the older boys at the gym are selling theirs. Mushrooms have traded hands a lot at our gym.

Check with YMCA or similar. I know in some major cities their daycare is open for essential worker’s children.

The JD2 guys are right in line age wise with many of the level 5/6 boys. And the JD1 are similar age with our Optionals.

I think it’s a great program. We have boys in JD2 and JD1 this year. About 6 in total. JD2 trains with the 5/6 group and JD1 with the 7 + group.

Texas does too for states for Levels 4-7. North State and South State. 8-10 and JD are together at one time.
