Thanks. I looked it up at USAG, and I guess mobility is allowed between levels 5 and 6, but I guess it surprised me that they would WANT to go back to level 5 for this fall season when they did 5/6 last season. Every gym has their own way of doing things, I guess.

If a gymnast has competed level 5 already, then went on to compete a few meets at 6, can they compete level 5 this season? I saw where one girl is doing this and I didn’t think it was allowed???

You are absolutely right. My daughter competed level 7 at our old gym. We switched and they wanted her to repeat 7 because she had a lot of work to do to get her basics up to par because she wasn’t really ready to compete 7 the first time. She did well repeating 7. Then she got hurt last summer...

I was just trying to figure out which team you were talking about. I am familiar with the team that was at that time in second place, but not the one in first. That’s all I was asking. Scores and placements change on that top 100.

Is that team still in first place? I have seen the second place team many times at meets and they always look so polished. If they won the team award it’s because their girls are exceptional. They perform clean. I’m just always glad when my kid doesn’t have to compete against them :)
