WAG Tough Coaches at level 3

My DD also competed that level at the age of 6 with older teammates. I don't think she ever had a decent mill circle and bars was painful to watch! Our coaches put her out there but I'd trust your coaches. She will never have to do that skill again in any other level!

Parents social group for WAG L6 and L7 parents

I would like to join, my daughter is in the L6/7/maybe-8-but-probably-not-next-year group at her gym. Thanks!

Parents Should I let her go?

Our gym is flexible with events like school concerts, plays, dances, but you can't miss the last practice before a meet. They usually do "meet hair" and a meet run through, talk about their goals, etc. What would her coach say?

    Parents Snow Day Practice Change?

Our gym does that, especially if it's an overnight storm that clears up mid-morning. Sometimes the girls will go in at noon or so and it's nice having them done at a normal hour!

WAG Didn't make new team - Need gym advice - Boston

Sorry to hear about her bad experience there, it may be a blessing in disguise! Hear lots of stories like that.....We are in MA, and my daughter goes to a small but competitive gym, with optionals up to Level 10. She competed Level 5 last year and her group moving forward to Level 6/now called 5...

WAG How long did it take you or your DD to get from rec to the pre team?

My DD took a class for about 8 weeks at age 5, and at the end of the class they invited her to pre-team. About 6 months later it was time for move-ups (June) and at that point she was invited to the Level 4 team. Now she's almost 9 competing Level 6.

    Off Topic Thinking about Boston

My sister was running her 4th Boston today and was half a mile from the finish when it happened. It was a very long 90 minutes waiting to hear from her this afternoon, but she is okay. Very shaken up, but physically ok. Still can't believe this happened here...

    America Athletes

There are 8 women and 8 men, 2 of each from US. You can find the list on the USA Gymnastics website. I don't think they have announced who is replacing Elizabeth Price yet, supposed to announce it today. Guessing it will be 2-3 hours long. It's being televised on NBC on Saturday!
