GAGE gymnasts never compete Hopes (let alone TOPs).
At the beginning of each olympic cycle, Al Fong always introduces his new Elites for that cycle. He did it just today - three of his gymnasts (two Sr one Jr) obtained their optional elite score. It was at GAGE home meet (Dragon Invite) and...
I was thinking about Jordan's iconic save too, even youtubed the routine
The comment section is worth reading, for example:
"Lmao the wolf turn is so worn out by being used by everyone ; it’s fighting back"
"Wolf turn to a spinorama"
I might be wrong but I don't think anyone out of the 6 gymnasts even performed two vaults during the selection camp. Olivia Greaves was the one who could potentially make the uneven bar finals, but they chose eMjae Frazier instead (or Konnor, but Konnor at least had the beam difficulty and...
@amiandjim I haven't watched Golden yet so I didn't know. Thanks for the info.
@GymAir I am not sure how it works, either, but I guess they can invite her to pre-Worlds training camp if she is ready (and healthy), and then she could be added to the national team list.
I thought Konnor withdrew from the US Championship because she wanted to focus on 2024 Olympic cycle which basically starts with 2021 Worlds.
I know she went through a lot with her gym change in between US Classic and US Championship but I didn't know a surgery was a part of her ordeal.
I just...
Shilese is HS Class of 2020, probably postponed her college freshman year because of Olympics but not sure if she postpones again?
Also, don't forget Konnor McClain.
I really don't know. I wish someone could clarify, and ideally provide a link to an official document that explains the procedure.
And, with all the 'Grace vs Mykayla vs Riley' post-trials drama, I would have expected the commentators to explain it over and over again... which they never did...
I believe they could, either Jade or Mykayla, as they went thru qualification. I am not sure but I believe that BEFORE qualification, they could sub one of the alternates (Kayla or Emma, as Kara and Leanne were out because of Covid).
When we discussed the 'alternate process' right after the...
I would go with top 6 for AA. Which would mean three Russians would have competed in AA finals this year. After that, apply the 'two per country' rule.
C'mon man, we do, best team score championships? Skinner. Best team score trials? Skinner. Best team score olympic qualifiers? Skinner.
Now I don't know whether you are so clueless, or if you flat out lie.
Because the 'best team scores' from championship and trials were based on assumption...
Yes, Grace had a 0.5 composition deduction, and the reality is that this deduction isn't likely to happen again, while Mykayla's execution deductions would be quaranteed to happen again.
As for Jordan's quals performance... it was not just her bars and beam. She didn't get the expected E score...
Yes. And also, was it not for the avoidable composition deduction on beam, Grace would beat Skinner by 0.267 (which wouldn't be enough to beat ROC still).
And also, Grace performed under pressure on the last 2 events, and she went first on both which added even more pressure. How Skinner...
@skschlag did you watch on Peacock? We just downloaded Peacock so I can watch women Q, or is there a better option? I know there are more options, just wondering which - if any - shows me the competition(s) in real time. I just want to be ready.
