a 3 week vacation sounds amazing! There are tons of gyms in Florida that have open gym where she can go and get some time on tumble trak, bars etc! I would say play it by ear and see how she feels a few days in to it- just so she doesn't feel obligated in case she is having tons of fun on vacation!
I think a change of focus or expectation could really help. Having gotten closer to some seniors and their moms I think they would tell you that the travel together, breakfasts before meets and dinners after, are now just as important as they were in Level 4,5,6.I think that sometimes we loose...
For what it is worth we are just loving watching Sophia at Auburn- she is the spirit of that team and her happiness just exudes! I hope she is enjoying every single minute of it!
I think a re-evaluation of the elite and DP program is necessary. I think we could have a much larger pool of potentially successful gymnasts available and willing to represent the US if the pool was open to DP or if there was just one track. The DP code is also open ended and skill development...
Yes- she's 14 and knows all too well all of the emotions, anxiety, fears, etc.- I don't like to compound it for her. I do really like to see the interviews with the parents though- I think they are insightful.
Same all around- I'm watching mostly to see how the parents are quite frankly, the girls are all going through the most pressure-filled times of their lives- its kind of almost clingy to see them being interviewed. Some are clearly uncomfortable, others seem to like the conversation. I do love...
Anyone know if there will be extra spots allocated for Level 10 for the Regions that don't have enough kids in each age group and who they will be awarded to?
