Just heard myself say " Trust the process..." for the umpteenth time to one of my gymnasts & realised I've said it lots of times to both of them over the years!
This is said when either is struggling with a skill. It means: trust your coaches to know how to resolve issues, trust the drills &...
So after laughing with @thefellowsmom because we both have the same phrase we use for our gymies ' work hard and have fun ' I thought it might be fun to see which other phrases have evolved
Another phrase used often with Dd is ' Trust the Process.' This has been in use throughout her...
Hi everyone☺
Just wondering who's competing at Aussie Classic?
Dds excited & a bit nervous - so when I asked her if she was looking forward to it she said " of course Mum -its gymnastics" :)
On a Sat Dd ( IL 9) trains 7 hours. After she finishes we travel to another gym to pick up the MAG man (level 5 but training with the senior boys levels 5-10) . They train different times & finish 1 1/2 hours later.
Dd couldn't sit still as she watched - there was gymnastics happening, of...
Opening ceremony Monday - Dd's so excited , got her new Leo and uniform ready to go :)
Good luck and have lots of fun to all the other gymnasts and their families participating :)
So Dd's had a very intense last few weeks- ideal testing, extra practice, first state qualifiers....
On the way home from practise she told me that her teammates apparently had been talking about what'd be like to be 'normal' kids and what they would do.
I always stress about her missing out...
Just been trying to add a link indicating a particular post on here and got stuck... Know it's basic but couldn't figure it out?
I found the link chain sign and the keyboard wants to write in blue but unsure what to write in the URL box?
I'd be grateful if someone could help me please.
Dd trains elite track. One of her favourite pre- training snacks is a banana and a handful of mixed nuts; quick, easy and sustains her for a fairly intensive 4 hour session:)
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year from Victoria, Australia:)
We had a family & friends BBQ along a waterfront beside a skatepark and children's playground, followed by carnival rides and fireworks at 10 ( so families with little kids could go home if they wanted) and 12 followed by Auld Lang...
Dd has more leotards then she needs( no compulsory training leo at our gym) - and I finally figured out why!!! She only wears versions of stretchy shorts / leggings outside gym( it's just so easy to move Mum-translation- do gymnastics everywhere :) ) so the only time I get to buy her pretty...
Dd has been a vegetarian for 6 1/2 years, and is in the elite stream. We had her blood vitamin levels checked by a sport physician and they are excellent . Although I have researched and tried to educate ourselves about vegetarianism and high level sport as non vegetarian parents we still worry...
DD is an enthusiastic IDP 5 training 24 hours a week. She's developed red raw rub marks on her hands from bar work. She doesn't seem to have any obvious calluses which could be contributing. One other girl in her group also has very painful hands and she is a very hard worker like dd. Any...
