If hospital workers are wearing the same dirty shoes to the grocery store, that would be why your shoes would be contaminated....your fault? Nope. Still a vector to spread virus where kids do handstands? Yes.
Shame on any medical person working with infectious people, who would wear dirty...
If people touch doorknobs, counters, anywhere the germs “land” so to speak...the floor is also a place. Shoes are carrying the germs as well. I’m a nurse and do wipe mine off, but also leave them in my trunk. Coach could wear covers...but coach/anyone walks across floor with hands...then...
Leave shoes at the door or in a bag.
Screen for temperature/fever.
This is tough- but even a cough due to allergies or seasonal can be a risk if the person is an unknown positive due to not feeling sick. Anyone coughing should not be there, or required to wear a mask.

I try not to over think it, but i have bought a second hand leo to compete. I wash all our Leo’s in the washing machine (including comp ones) and hang to dry. In fact, many sites say do not hand wash (our last ozone even said this.)
Our gym does ask the girls to wear briefs with them, but you...
Ours coach hasn’t shared scores, but fantastic job to all who have posted! Really great scores!!! :) good luck to all the girls, and wonderful job making it this far!
I’m curious....do you think scores were higher since the girls could see them? Before this year, didn’t the coaches handle the scores? I just wondered how they were in comparison to previous years.
I can see why! Didn’t your gym just hve some girls go straight to developmental invite, and skipping national testing? Plus look at lily! Your coach is obviously doing a lot right! Congrats :)
This is our first time ever testing. I’m curious how skills scoring compared? How were physical abilities harder this year?
I’ve heard some people say they are scoring lower over all than state testing, and last years, but wondered if that was as a whole or situational.
This was my daughter’s first test ever, and it was last minute :) She was training for next year, but wanted to try this year for the experience. I think she might be right on the line of qualifying, so now we wait. Do cut off scores always go up?
Thank you! She is testing as a 9 year old (bday is 9/29.) She finished her first season competing as a bronze in May 2017, and wanted to have a chance to do tops since she learned about it. Last November she started training for TOPS with one press handstand up, and barely climbing the rope. I’m...
My daughter is testing for the first time (ever) tomorrow. No one from our gym has tested yet. I’m not sure what to expect for her score- she has maxed on physical abilities and can do all her skills, but it will her her first time testing (so hopefully not too many nerves!)
With all the changes currently happening with USA Gymnastics, is there less participation with the TOPS program? This is the first year my daughter is training and testing for TOPS, and it seems hardly anyone has posted or talked about it. I heard only 5 kids participated in the first test this...
