Parents Need the post-quit pep talk

After doing gymnastics her whole life, DD quit this week. She is 8, and was a level 5 at a top gym. She loves gymnastics passionately, but after many circles around this for a while, just got tired of the time commitment and constant pressure every day in practice. While I know it will all work...

    Parents Non-gymnastics Summer Camp

DD is 8, planning to compete L5 in the fall at a top gym in a competitive state. She has expressed interest in joining her non-gym sister for 2 weeks at a traditional sleep-away camp. DD is turning 8 in September and competing L4. She was fast tracked and trains with girls doing L6/7 since we have a small gym. For summer she has some flexibility and I am looking for guidance on a good number of hours that would help her improve but not burn out or get injured. Other L4s are...

Parents Moving up and leaving old teammates, adjustment fear/ sadness

Sorry I was unclear, the old group of L3 will move up to be L4. I am not sure if she is just training w L5 to improve more and compete L4 or compete L4 and score out. I assume time will tell how that goes, more worried about social, fears of measuring up.

Parents Moving up and leaving old teammates, adjustment fear/ sadness

DD just got moved up from her L3 group to train with L5. (There is no L4). They are 1-3 years older and obviously further along. DD has done very well and none of her teammates moved with her. We are only 1 week in but the new girls (who she is familiar/ friendly with) have been very welcoming...
