Regardless of spelling, we don't seem to have many here! I'm sure there must be an orthopedic specialist near by, I just find it funny how uncommon they are here in Canada whereas for you American CB members, it seems to be where the majority of you turn for injuries. Here, most serious sports...
I knew ortho = orthopedist (just didn't want to type the whole thing out on my phone!) but wasn't sure what an orthopedist was exactly. I had never heard of one before! I guess that is because they aren't common in my area according to a quick Google search.
Yes of course urgent care for injuries like that! What exactly is an ortho? I keep hearing that on chalk bucket but I don't think we have those here...
Thank you! I'm not currently injured or anything, just curious to see other responses. This post was promtped by a post about chiropractors a few weeks ago, where people were discussing the use of chiros as a "first visit" after an injury. That seemed odd to me because hardly anyone around here...
Let me preface this by saying I live in Canada, so our healthcare system is a bit different here... So where/which doctor do you see first when you suspect an injury (particularly overuse)?
In my experience, I've found that general/family doctors aren't much help and will just say "rest it for...
I've had a Gk scrunchie break, and once I opened it up I found the same thing Sk8ermaiden did. A flat, thick rubber band.
By the way, I've found that my silicone hair ties snap faster than normal hair ties. So I wouldn't reccomend that you go that route!
I wonder if the host gym has to specify what kind of floor will be available? I know for big international competitions, they specify the brand etc. Not sure how that works for smaller meets!
I found another cool way to get into that rear support! It is around the 0:30 mark in this video:
Obviously I'm not suggesting that she does this, just thought I'd share. I love creative bar routines with uncommon skills!
We usually have the radio on (pop or alternative, alternative stations seem to be safer), or floor music. Have you thought about Disney soundtracks? Even the older girls like these, especiall if its older Disney (Lion King for example). What about a playlist that has the biggest hits from the...
Can you offer to do an alternate assignment? Injured kids used to make a poster, do some worksheets, or write an essay on a sport etc. Maybe bring that up with your teacher?
Careful with the stretching if the leo has mesh sleeves/shoulders. Mesh tends to be weaker than mystique and I'd be worried about the shoulders ripping if cans were added to weigh it down! It can probably still be done, just be cautious with how much weight you add.
Funny how different songs are more popular in some areas than others! There are one or two Lindsey Stirling songs I don't mind (coincidentally those are the ones least played in my area, lol!)
Oh I do agree that it is a beautiful song and I'm sure her choreography was nice as well. It has just been tainted for me by one too many bad routines :p sorry that she never got to compete it!
Out of sheer curiosity, what is that one piece of floor music you can't stand to hear at the gym/meets etc?:D Whether you are sick of it because it is overused, or you just plain don't like it for no particular reason.
For me, I have two. I will admit Nathan Lanier has some beautiful stuff...
McKusker has pulled out of selection camp due to injury. I would assume that means she can't go to worlds, although I guess that depends on the severity of the injury! If she doesn't go, I wonder what this will mean for the team selection....
