Typically TOPS is invite at most gyms although some just have a program and all are welcome to train but might not compete. Ours is invite only.....

We went from rec classes to pre-team at 5.....from 1:15 to 9 hours a week....She adjusted and loved it.....competed level three at 6 and now level 4 at seven.....she has a Jan birthday....so half is at 7 and the other half will be a newbie 8.....

Why not just ask one of the coaches at the gym? They can visually inspect them for you and explain in detail (if they have competed), how it should feel.

I have no helping words....just thought the post was cute. This is our DS first year competing with his first meet this weekend. I'll just be happy if he's happy....

Welcome, my DS is 9 and this is his first year on team. Like others, we some mats....but he r ally wanted a mushroom.....so mushroom it was......good luck on either side, Although I don’t he has to choose one over the other if he starts gym too.

Lance, totally understand your pont. I’m pretty new as well, and also not huge poster. I resigned myself to the fact that it is going to take me some time to get any real amount of posts.
