You may know that I'm a L10.
I've been here for a few years, and now I've been angling to go elite my whole life. I've been given an exact year now: 2025, I can go up. Yesssss. Due to certain things I'll have to wait 2 years, and then I'll be living my childhood dream!!!!!
I really wanted to...
I decided to make a spin-off thread from one I saw that kind of raised something that I really think about a lot.
Gymnastics really becomes a part of your identity, or your child's identity. I don't know how I would define myself without it. I have other passions that I want to pursue, but...
This question is for gym parents of multi sport upper level gymnasts.
How did your kids balance multiple sports as upper level gymnasts?
Thinking back to my school days, I can't imagine balancing another sport outside of school with gymnastics hours. So I just wonder how you managed to do it...
Okay, there's something I've begun to notice at my gym more recently. There is a very large level 4 group at my gym. The three coaches are young, about 18-22 years old. I understand that the gym is big and their group is big, but they have taken over! They decided to take all the floors on one...
I don't desperately need to know this or anything, just want to know because I like knowing everything when it comes to gymnastics.
Do Junior Elite gymnasts compete a compulsory and an optional routine until they achieve the required compulsory score and then drop it? Is that right? Answers...
So my close friend from gymnastics fractured her ankle, and will be out for 8 weeks. I was wondering if she'll be fit to compete with a shot in a September competition, and if there's anything she should do to maintain her strength. When she gets back, she'll only have around a month and a half...
So, I do gym for 36 hours a week, and I love my club. I would never, ever consider leaving it. It's my home. Everyone there has known me since I was five. Absolutely no way am I leaving. But after two years off school (I graduated 2020), and upping my hours in those two years, I need to start...
Okay, so, I started doing my own hair for training when I was 10, and meets when I was 12, but after so many years of practice and so many techniques I have tried, I can never make it stay in. The past two meets, it's been okay, but training? Always comes out. So, gymnasts, gym parents, any one...
As a gymnast I actually have no idea; as A skills, do they count toward the number of A skills. Because once you start to optionals you start counting your A skills and B skills, etc, so do they count? And are they scored and deducted? Curious and hoping I have enough A skills!
I'm from Australia and am curious about the system for middle school gymnastics.
What are the requirements and what levels are they similar to? Is it true that they use Xcel requirements?
If anyone knows, that would be great!
You or your kids get any new skills recently? It is very exciting getting a new skill, so tell the gymnastics community!
Sometimes we all need to show off our/our kids skills!
Looking for tips of the push up into the handstand.
My problem is that I roll into a headstand. How can I push through more?
(Can do an aerial, can't do a back extension roll )
So I managed to do to many bws and my left loxer back can't do it without a twinge of pain. I am resting it and it is getting better, but any tips to help the recovery speed up
Hey, I'm Em. I am a team gymnast and do Team Gym. If you have not heard of that it is a mix of TRP gymnastics and ACRO and we do tumbling, mini tramp and floor routines. I used to train recreational gymnastics with my best friend @Halis10 but she was pulled out. I am super excited to be here and...
I am looking for a training schedule with conditioning, drills, times to practice routines and skills etc. Also, could I have hours and schedule for when we actually train. Sorry, my gym's member services suck! Thanks so much!
