Its been a long time since I posted anything on this site, probably because I was devastated when my dd quit gymnastics. And I mean devastated!! Our lives had revolved around this sport for 11 years - 11!!! And she was only 13. She was good, so very good, but she was not happy. Gymnastics...

2 days until Regionals and dd has come down with a bad case of mental block on 2 important skills. :yikes: She is just beside herself with anxiety, and I'm trying to hold it all together for her. I know this is par for the course in this sport, and I know that one way or another she will survive...

Only 2 weeks until states, and Dd took a bad fall off bars yesterday. Luckily we had a dd's appointment that evening to check for a possible sinus infection, so I asked them to check her out from the fall. Nothing broken, just a badly bruised chest where she chinned herself - and a stiff back...

DD and I will be on the road in a couple of hours to her 1st regional meet:eek: The nerves have just hit me. She's ready for the season to be over, and to close it out well. Its been a long crazy season that started way back in September. I'm keeping a prayer in my head for her to do as well...

Been lurking, thought I'd join in and see how it goes... I have a dd(11yo) that is a level 8 meet this season. I've enjoyed reading here - it brings back such memories of when dd first got started.
