I'm an adult gymnast, recently diagnosed with a compression fracture in my vertabrae. I am out of gymnastics for 2-3 months. The doctor didn't feel it was serious enough to wear a brace, just restrict activity. I was just wondering if anyone has had this and how you did afterwards.
I am just curious who tends to hit each event every practice, and if equal time is spent on the events. Do you have a 'schedule' or just rotate when you're done? Also please tell me your level.
We tend to do every event each practice, however one day a week we do dance instead of vault. We...
Vault: Making my handspring full better and working on 1 1/2s
Bars: Straddle up cast all the way to handstand and not just 3/4 handstand. Also cleaning up my straddle back by going back to doing it on the mat stack, and half pirouettes on low bar
Beam: 2 ft back handspring and front walkovers...

I am intending to be there, there is a chance needing surgery will prevent me from being able to go, but I am about 80% sure I will be there in...
I am not sure what they mean for the dismount.

Competed in Silver level USAIGC (similar to level 7 USAG) a week ago, in California.
I had abdominal surgery last November and I don't have all my skills back, but I had enough to make requirements on all but bars, and bars started from 9.4.
Beam got an 8.4, routine was a little shaky but...
Anyone planning on going? I am not sure if I will do Ladies Level 7 or Ladies Level 8, but I'm looking at flight costs and considering this meet.
The Real AAU Junior Olympic Games > Home
I am wondering which do you guys like the best? For those of you who have competed.
I definitely find practice more fun, and like it more. I like to have the chance to try something over if I make a mistake...and I like throwing new skills into pits and whatnot, which you cannot do at competition.
This woman just graduated college and finished college gymnastics and is continuing to train with the goal of making all around finals at worlds. She went to the olympics last year. I believe she is 23.

Forgot to post this before, but I am competing in this next weekend...
Empire Masters
I think they still take entries, it just might cost a little more since it would be a late entry.
It's judged on modified level 8 rules.
Would this routine start from 10?
Kip cast squat on, swing out straddle back
kip cast squat on, long hang kip, cast handstand, giant giant layout.
Thanks.
I thought it would be fun to say who your favorite gymnasts are on each event. Just a little random thing.

I had another good meet. I was technically in the USAIGC 18+ age division, but they lumped me with 15+ since there were no other over 18s, which was fine cause then I could actually place possibly, and not just get an all around medal as the 'champion' of one person in my age group, like last...
OK so, my last meet was 2 years ago, and what happened after that was first I developed shin trouble that I had to stop vaulting and floor, then I started having a lot of health problems which led to being diagnosed w/ lupus, an autoimmune condition and then having to have colon surgery, so...
