What do you do to increase your flexibility ?

For my splits, oversplits works the best for making them better. I also try to hold side stretches and pancake for as long as I possibly can, stretched all the way down. I was blessed with shoulder flexibility though. I'm double jointed. haha

Could this be used in a beam routine?

I made a video with one of the junior coaches who made up a routine for me. She kind of skipped through the cartwheel so I'm not sure if this was a quick skip or she actually wanted me to use this in the routine.. She had one leg straight and one leg up in the air, very vertical, and her hands...

How do I gain weight and turn it into muscle?

Thanks to the last few posts. Really, I think my body is great. I'm asking how to increase my muscle mass, not asking if my body is okay with everyone else. I'd rather get some straight info than telling me I don't need to change my body. I would LIKE to. I want more muscle. I bought some soy...

How do I gain weight and turn it into muscle?

    Backwards roll into a handstand?

Hi, I'm not sure what this trick is called but you go into a backwards roll and push up to a handstand...Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me. It is SO hard for me to get into a handstand from the roll. It just seems like you need an incredible amount of strength. Any advice?

    Too old to compete?

Hi, so I started gymnastics last month. I am progressing extremely fast. I am as good as the other girls in my class who have been there for atleast one year. I was in gymnastics from age 3-7 and I somehow kept my flexibility and a lot of skills. I know that I'll have the necessary skills to be...

How do you strengthen your wrists?

Hi all, I'm new to the forum :] I'm having some problems with my wrist. When I practice doing handstands and cartwheels on my low beam at home, I sometimes over bend my hands onto the beam by just a LITTLE bit and it kills. My wrists pop and crackle a lot when I try to roll them and stuff, but...
