Don't give up on your dreams of doing level 8, D! Chase is wishing him quick recovery and says, "he's got time, he'll do it". And Chase knows how it feels;). Don't give up; just work hard (doing the pt it takes) and you'll get there.
If it were my ds I would probably wait a couple of days to take him in since he says it feels a little better and he's able to lift it some. Ice and ibuprofen each day and rest it until it either feels totally better or you see the doctor. I hope it's just a strain and that it gets better...
That's great! Glad to hear he's healing and coming back strong. It's amazing how after being forced out due to injury and illness for any length of time, they can come back fighting and a lot of times learn skills faster than before! I've seen it many times with my own ds and sometimes wonder...
I wasn't sure if I'd have much to say on this uptraining thread because ds has been telling me all week that they've been spending almost all of their time this week doing nothing but stretching and conditioning. He's so sore he didn't even want to go to practice tonight. Boy, is he glad he...
It was my ds's best meet on all 4 events he competed. He got 1st on pommel, 8th on rings, and that was it, but he was so happy with his improved scores and his routines in general. He's over the moon about "finally" getting 1st on pommel:) He almost always gets 2nd because of the tie breaker...
Maybe you just live that much farther away from me. I did google maps and it's saying about 6 hrs. and 50 minutes. Do you guys drive the speed limit or something? (jk)
Mine competes on Saturday night too so we're leaving on Friday. DD 's been saving up her money since Christmas and says that it's time to hit the American Girl store, so we'll do that on the way. It's about a 6 hour drive, I think, so that'll give her stuff to do in the car on the way there...
His knee is doing much better. We saw the dr. on Monday who took another x-ray which showed that it is healing nicely. The dr. says he can compete on it if he wants to deal with the pain, and that doing so will not "tear it up" further. Right now I'm not sure we're going to regionals anyway...
Yay! Ds is so happy that his petition to compete in the regional meet was accepted! Now we just have to have confirmed clearance from his doctor on Monday, and he'll be training his booty off :)
That's good that they changed it. I think it was 2 years ago when ds was a level 5, there was a big mistake with the pommel judge who wasn't scoring everyone the same way and they had to change a bunch of scores at the end which helped some boys get to regionals. I think it's great that they...
