Emily's tumbling fears are dwindling and and her connections are strong again. She is faster and flips higher and with people tumbling all around her at the same time. Color me shocked:)
Maybe it is tumbling with shoes... I don't know.
Anyway, she is loving cheer
Madi is doing great too and...
Both girls quit gymnastics after Emily even got her tsuk on vault:( Anyway, We started competitive cheerleading about 2 weeks ago with Elite Cheer in Omaha. Emily is going to start as a level 3 jr. national cheer due to not having stunting experience but good news is maybe shoes was the key to...
Okay Madi and Emily just had their last meet before state.
Emily has made a huge accomplishment in competing the last two meets in the all around after essentially losing back tumbling connections for like 9 months. The tumbling pass is still slow but it is connected. And in both meets she...
Well Emily and Madi have continued on training the same levels we competed last year which is level 6 for Emily and 4 for Madi. Our gym it isn't easy to move up at all. You have to have all your skills to move up and with pretty good consistancy. Our gym is very strict on form and percision...
after all the struggling with back walkovers until just recently.
Little Emily got her back handspring on medium high beam last night like she had been doing them forever.
WE are still repeating level 6 next fall because back tumbling has not gotten better and she is still not connecting her...
Okay let's start with my level 6:)
State was the weekend of Dec 12/13 here in Nebraska.
Emily's group was once again the toughest age group for the level 6s.
Emily started Floor...Warmups... you guessed it...didn't go very well at all.
Stress was bringing back her roundoff bhs mental blocks...
She managed to compete Beam at State and do her back walkover :)
Thank you for all the beam fairies and Back walkover confidence vibes:)
We really appreciated it!!
State was tough for Emily with a few mental blocks showing up again... ugh...
Anyway, it is over with and done and a month and a...
Emily is once again going mental on the BW on Beam. She lost it after Thankgiving thanks to a break and then had a private last Friday and got it back and then had it Monday but then we had a snowday on Tuesday and well tonight she lost it again. Ugh.... At least she has scored out of level 6...
Madi did good but had some falls today.
She started off on vault and arched quite a bit on the handstand so 8.2
Bars was looking great but fell on her shoot through and got a 7.9
Beam was not so good:( She had a rough beam day. She fell twice and almost fell I think two more times, 6.25.
She...
I didn't want to brag thursday because I actually missed it. Of course....
I leave that night instead of watch and she gets it. However, lots of moms and her team mates were like yes she got it... I saw it.
Turns out she did over 183 of them at practice.
WEll I had scheduled a private after...
Well I am sorry it took so long to update this all. I have been slamming busy lately.
Emily did great despite running a fever of 100 + right smack in the middle of the meet.
She started on bars and they were tough and she score a 7.55
Then beam she tapped out since we still didn't have our back...
Well the judges were brutal is how I will start this...
I am new to this state and heard that the Nebraska judges were tough but wow.....
Okay....
Let's start with Madi...
She has improved so much in the past week with these routines... I was so proud of her.
Madi got to start on bars and...
Since we were shorted about 2 months of training... I think Emily did great.
We got to start off on Vault... Emily's favorite event of course:)
Looked good but I think would have been better at one setting lower than she vaulted on which was a 4 or 5 not totally sure. I think she looks great...
well after getting her back walkover last week... we regressed again this week but tonight I was at open gym with her just standing with my hand out and she was doing them... However, they won't do that. She has to do 110 more back walkovers by tomorrow to even compete it plus she has to do 3...
wow two weeks with her tuck flyaway and she went to open gym tonight and worked on getting her layout flyaway into the pit and started nailing them and moved them to the bars... She is landing them perfectly:) Wow.... Emily is really working hard:) I told her to get off the bars after a while...
Emily did it... 2 nights ago she finally actually started going backwards on the high beam by herself. I am so proud of her. She is still very apprehensive about the skill so the form needs some work but that will come as her confidence improves... 4 practices till first level 6 meet and I...
Tonight's Practice was awesome.... Emily started on Bars tonight and was doing flyaway drills on the pit bar and then Emily did a flyaway into the pit landing on a mat instead of the blue pit foam. First time, I didn't think she would let go but she did just a bit late so she landed touching...
Well 1 month away from Emily's first level 6 meet, we are making progress. She knows she is down to the wire. When we first started training level 6 this backwalkover was going to be a pain. I knew it, Emily knew it. We did not anticipate moving to the Omaha/Council Bluffs area and had no...
Well my divorce was all done behind my back and it is ugly.
Anyway, I moved away from the controlling abusive man that he is and now live with my soon to be fiancee. The girls and I are going to Premier Gymnastics in Omaha, NE for the past 3 weeks. They are loving it but it is an...
