Dd had her second level 5 meet at an invitational this weekend.
3 weeks made the difference on bars. She did get her long hang kip, had some form issues and got a 7.75. She was a bit disappointed in the score, but I told her it was a huge improvement over having to scratch 3 weeks ago.
Beam was not as good as the last meet. , but was a decent at 8.6. She had some balance checks at the beginning. The weird thing was that they weren't even on a major skill or turn. She later reported that the beam was fuzzy, which is apparently very disturbing.
She improved floor with an 8.85. Almost all the elements of the routine looked better, but she had an issue of coming out crooked/arching on her back extension roll.
Vault was also improved at an 8.55. Her run and block looked better but she had a huge bounce straight up when she landed. She said the landing mat was very springy
AA was 33.7. She was pleasantly surprised to place 6th on vault and 10th on floor and got 13th AA out of 23 girls in her age group. No more meets now until the Fall season.
