Ads that won't close

Despite being a paid subscriber, I still get ads that pop up every time I open the app- I'm used to it. Lately, however, the ads sometimes pop up indefinitely, or until I force close the app and start it back up. There is no little "X" to tap to get rid of it, and it stays like that for at least 30 seconds (the longest I've waited for it before doing a force close). Just wanted to see if it happens to anyone else?
