I've just learned how to complete my back walkovers but I was wondering, what happens when im in the middle of the walkover. I'm in the handstand with a split and its almost like forever. I stay in that position for some time before pulling onto the one leg. Is this okay i've done back walkovers fast but they almost always look sloppy. So here is my question.

How fast should you go? Can you go slow or should you go fast.

If you've just learned them take your time. As you get better you'll go faster. Just try to use your second leg as soon as your hands touch the floor, it takes a while to work out the timing. Push your hands up when your first foot touches the floor.

How high is your free leg when you start the walkover? The higher that leg is when you start, the smoother the walkover goes. Aim to have your front leg start no lower than horizontal.
