My DD cant decide on a mount for her beam routine and does a little "side saddle" hop up but wants something different. She is small and strong but needs a spring board for that one even.

Any ideas about what some really neat beam mounts would be to give her some more to chose from and work for next season?

Thx for all the help!:D

The best beam mount in Level 7 is one that is clean and she does not fall on. To train for the future, it's always nice to work on a "B" level mount, but that is relatively rare at Level 7. A press is a B but there are many "B" level mounts. I'll see if I can dig some up but most beam mounts even through Level 10 are simple and "A"s.

At elite, the gymnast must do a beam mount from the code which is why you see so many do the Shawn Johnson "thief jump," the press (hold for 2 seconds) and planches. There isn't much variety unless you want to take a risk of a flipping mount like Sacramone.
