For acro, you'll need to have quite a free schedule as not attending practice regularly means that you'll be letting your partner down, you'll need to be extremely strong and flexible (in acro you are either lifting people or balancing on people) and you'll also need to be able to get along well with other people. You don't need to be amazing at tumbling (I can't even do a back handspring) but if you are then that's a bonus.
 
here, if you are more then a 4ft 10" twiglett you will be a base of middle. This means a lot of strength work.

If you are blessed with teeny genes you need to be strong and bendy.

This is the sort of stuff the tops practice
