Parents Booster Club Question

we have a very large team and an equally large and successful 501c3 booster club. In the past, our main fundraising revenue was via volunteering at a Bingo hall. During the economic boom, this was a hugely successful fundraiser often generating enough money to pay for all the meets, leos, and flight reimbursements for all the gymnasts. With the recession, the revenue dropped until it became more of a burden then a viable fundraiser. When we dropped Bingo, we did go through a period of many small fundraisers - trying to sell things to family etc. This past year, we hosted Shawn Johnson which raised a ton of money from the rec gymnasts and outside gymnasts who wanted to meet Shawn. The event was coupled with a silent auction which was also very profitable.

Our one reliable source of income was via the many meets that we hosted. The years where we hosted States or Regional, we were able to earn even more money.

Our booster club is not a 501c3, and in some ways it's noce, but sometimes I feel like we just pay for stuff for the gym. Our booster club hosts 4 meets and we still have fees close to 1k, and have to pay for Leo's and warmups. We also have to work each meet. I have no problem helping at meets and tend to go beyond what's expected, but it really feels like there isn't a huge benefit.
