I am in sticker shock at the annual competition fees at our new gym.
(Boys Level 8/9/10 *athletes ELEIGIBLE for Nationals $2250) Our previous two gyms did fundraising to offset expenses and coach travel. Curious how much other parents are paying in the DC/MD/VA area if you guys don't mind sharing approximately...!!

Did ChalkBucket help you?... help us too.

If you can't help financially... tell a friend about us!

This really depends on how much travel is involved (flights as well as hotel stays) and how many are on the team sharing the expenses, how many days the coaches will need to be at each meet and how many coaches go. It does seem high to me (WAG, not MAG but I am not sure that makes a big difference).

Not in your area, but I have a boy gymnast, L10. our meet fees, coach fees, coach travel were more than that by just a little. So I would say it is definitely in the ballpark. My son has 6 meets, 2 of which are out of state (flying), 2 instate but require overnight stays and 2 local. Then state (in state, no overnight stay), regionals, out of state, (could fly or drive but definitely staying the weekend), and nationals.
