WAG Competitive Team Names

Help! We are almost ready to open our gymnastics facility and we have most of the planing already finished but we are at a loss for competitive team names. Does anyone have any team name ideas? They would be very appreciated!

Name for the following would be helpful! :

- Pre team / Pre competitive
- Young Gymnasts ( Level 1 -2 )
- Young Gymnasts ( Level 3 -4 )
- Young Gymnasts ( Level 5 -6 )
- Younger Gymnasts ( Level 7-8)
- Younger Gymnasts ( Level 9+ )
-Older Gymnasts ( Level 3-4 )
- Older Gymnasts ( Level 5-6)
- Older Gymnasts ( Level 7-8)
-Older Gymnasts ( Level 9+ )

We aren't really looking for any cutesie names however any names suggestions are welcomed!

Our gym is one team.... the gym name......

the practice groups are their levels. 2, 3, 4/5, 7, 8/9

However many of our gyms in my area at least, name each of their practice groups and I wasn't sure what names I liked.Sorry if this caused any confusion.

You could base it on your area. If you are near the shore you could have guppies, minnows, goldfish, octopus, hammerhead etc.

Thank you! I guess I should've specified that we were looking for practice group names!

Our gym uses wildcat names for the training groups (eg, panthers, tigers, cheetahs, etc), but I was a tad bit concerned when my daughter was a cougar.

With a name like Summit, perhaps it could have a hiking/climbing theme? I'm not sure what.. maybe named after mountains or mountain regions? Based on max mountain height perhaps. A climber wouldn't just start out at Everest. They'd tackle other goals first and work their way up, like your gymnasts. So sorting the names by mountain height, corresponding to the rise in levels would be interesting. Names like Cascade, Sierra, etc.. Maybe check out this list of mountain ranges for inspiration. If it were me, I might aim for slightly less well known mountains or mountain ranges or check out a map and look for mountains/ranges in your general region (I personally wouldn't want a level called "Everest" given the nature of that climb). If you have mountains nearby, it might make a fun group activity to go hiking together occasionally on your mountain(s). Good luck with your gym!

Ours are called Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4, Level 5 (compulsories), and optionals are Group 1, Group 2, Group 3, Group 4, Group 5, Extra hours, Homeschool, and Elite.

You could also use animals that are found in the mountains, Alpaca, lions, mountain goat, eagles, hawks, wolf, owl. Maybe animals for compulsory and birds for optionals.

Are you planning on having an Xcel team? Remember include them too.
