I know we talked about this before when dd still did T&T, but I can't figure out how to search on my tablet, lol.

So is there any difference or is it just the name and the fact one is on floor and one is on the tramp?

And can anyone tell me where to find the search feature on the mobile app.?

Thanks!

In a front half you have to show a layout position before you twist

Not quite.

Technically, they should be the same thing. However, there tends to be some terminology confusion between T&T and Artistic. Often in artistic gymnastics, the term "barani" is used to describe a front salto with a very early twist (ie a roundoff with no hands), and a front salto with a later twist is referred to as a front 1/2. In T&T, an early-twisting front 1/2 is called a Jonah (if I recall correctly), and a late twisting one is called a barani.

Whatever you want to call it, proper technique is to twist late, so that most or all of the twist is in the second half of the salto.
