Parents Do your kids miss school for gymnastics?

We do

but we also homeschool so it is not an issue. We homeschooled before ever having gymnastics so that is not the "reason" we do it but it definately helps now.

It's summer and doesn't matter now anyway but dd's winter schedule is 2 hours of TOPs in the morning and then she works with team for 4 hours in the evening 3 days per week. It is a very small gym and she is the only one in TOPs snd the coach knows she is homeschooled, that's why they made the decision to do that in the morning.

I cannot imagine the pressure of having to keep up with homework and the many hours at gym for the higher level girls. My hat is off to their dedication!
