dreading dd coming home - not entered for a comp!

dd is eligible to enter x competition due to being on specific squad
coach rang me at work today to profusely apologise - she wasnt entered because coach misunderstood criteria which have changed and it is a new club.young hc and she isnt used to those things.
i am waiting to see dd - and how she takes it.
coach was suprised i wasnt mad at her!
worrying about dd being upset but there ARE other comps (this is a biggy though and hc is petitioning to have dd entered) she can still be wildcarded if she does well at different comp before the big one.

hc said she knows dd wont be cross with her when she tells her, but if she comes home is vents on me to ring her and let her vent on her - she knows her!
she is due home in about 30 mins! --dont know how she will be because she has worked so so hard for this comp! - the work obviously will stand her in great stead for other comps but i hope she doesnt lose inspiration without this specific goal!

she was upset doesn't blame coach but just went straight to bed.
i may have been worrying unnecessarily !

didn't get the chance to compete.
she is gutted
went 'off the rails ' for a week
now she is determined to'show them what they missed' for next comp!
.. the stress of parent hood !
