We are looking to put a DVR system in our gym (one for each apparatus) but need help as far as what kind of DVR to purchase, etc.

Can anyone help?

Thx.

Did ChalkBucket help you?... help us too.

Our gym used a tivo activated once at someones home (no cost other than a phone call from the machine if I recall), a small tv (depending on what kind you get you can find them fairly cheap), and a video camera (again, can be fairly inexpensive). The hard disk size is irrelivant since you will usually only be doing a 15 to 30 second delay, which in thoery is all of 60MB or so.

Good luck! Have fun!

type in the question on google "who is selling tivo series 1 units". you want tivo series 1. then a t.v. and a camera. this is the most inexpensive way to go.

Thanks for the reply. We bought a camcorder, tv, and tivo but tivo won't let us use it without paying a monthly fee. Did you have to pay the fee? Also how do you get around the camcorder shutting itself off automatically? Thanks again for the reply.

it has to be a "series 1 tivo". tivo figured out what everyone was using the "series 1" for and changed the unit for series 2.

if you purchased a "series 1": press the tivo button at the top of the remote, scroll down to "watch live tv", then click on that. make sure your camera is turned on.

again, this won't work, and for free, if you don't have "series 1".

Thanks a lot. We'll take the one we bought back and find a "series 1" TIVO.

you can find them online. just type in "who has tivo series 1?" last one we purchased [we have 3] was from amazon.
