I watched the unrealistic Make it or break it tv show with my DD a while ago and noticed that in it the elite gymnasts had a lot of competitions as a club team conpeting against other clubs.

As far as I've seen, outside of the national team, no elite gymnasts compete as a team in any competitions, it's always as individuals. Most clubs don't necessarily even have that many elites in the same gym.

Or am I mistaken? Do they actually compete as a team against other teams? And if so, can you tell me what are those meets called? That tv show just really confused me.

It's a tv show! It's not real!
Yes that's what I thought when I mentioned how unrealistic it was when it came to actual gymnastics competitions. I was just wondering whether that particular thing was based on truth or not. Thank you for clearing it up!

I have seen some Invitationals have a Open Competition where anyone can compete. I have seen Elite Teams competing against other teams with the team getting the Medals and Cash.
One competition that comes to mind that does this is HNI
