Okay Madi and Emily just had their last meet before state.
Emily has made a huge accomplishment in competing the last two meets in the all around after essentially losing back tumbling connections for like 9 months. The tumbling pass is still slow but it is connected. And in both meets she stuck that back walkover on beam too.
Okay I am fed up with level 6 bar judging... it sucks... Totally inconsistant and all over the place. One week we have a huge error and get a high score than the next meet which is clean like up to 1 pt difference and not just with Emily with the whole team...
Anyway, Guess the scores... Videos below and then I will update the rest of the meet after that:)

OK, here are my guesses:

Level 6
Vault 8.9
Beam: 8.5
Floor: 8.6 (she is a pretty dancer!)
Bars: 8.0

Level 4
Floor 8.0
Vault 7.9
Beam 8.8 (is this her favorite event, very confident!)
Bars 8.1

Your girls had a great meet. Both went 4 for 4. No falls! Congrats!

I really am clueless when it comes to scores. But I thought they both did a wonderful job. Very clean routines..a bobble here or there, but no falls. And they both seemed to really enjoy themselves

Wow, that's certainly not little Emily anymore. She is a beautiful tween!!!

Here goes for Emily:
Vault--link didn't work---give her a 10 then!
Bars--8.9
Beam--8.4
Floor--8.5

Madi:
Vault: 8.0
Bars: 8.5
Beam: 8.1
Floor: 8.2

They are both so great!! Been a while since I've looked over the compulsory deductions (I coach rec) but I'll give the scores my best guess!

Emily:
Vault - Couldn't get the link to work, so I agree - 10.0! Bravo!
Bars - 8.2, great flyaway stick!
Beam - 8.0 for little things (not holding the arabesque or dismount long enough, a few bobbles) but otherwise lovely!
Floor - 8.6 she's a great dancer! I've seen the routine so many times that I kinda glaze over when I'm watching it these days, but her dance made me really watch! She got docked a bit for the tumbling pass - it must be in constant acceleration.

Madi:
Vault - 7.95 Got to vertical on that second one! Now she's just gotta "pop" with the shoulders!
Bars - 8.3
Beam - 8.7 She's so steady and confident!
Floor - 8.2

Actually, I don't care about scores. I give them both an A+ for working so hard, doing their best, and being darn cute :)

Thank you everyone... I am very good at judging too and usually right on with judge after I see a routine.... However, bars and floor threw me with Emily big time. I actually definitely thought Emily's floor routine was better than her beam routine in terms of fluidity and overall presentation. I gave her floor routine an 8.5 due to tumbling pass and bars too about 8.1. However, I guess the judges see otherwise.
Emily's real scores.
Vault: 9.0 1st place
Bars: 7.8 and no place
Beam: 8.725 and 3rd place
Floor: 7.8:eek: and no place and Emily's head coach/owner of gym and you guys know him if you know about gymnastics since he is the creator of these routines thinks Emily has some of the best dance presentation of all the girls he has worked with with this routine
Heere is the corrected link to vault

Madi:
Vault: 8.6 a gift totally
Beam: 8.6
Floor: 8.95 but I think this is right since it was a good routine and maybe video didn't show that as much
Bars: 7.5:eek: ugh, I knew Emily was going to get a 7 something on bars just based on Madi's bar score because her meet was the day before and whenever Madi goes and scores in the 7s with a good no fall routine just general form break errors... I know Emily's norm of 8.3-8.5 bar routine will be in the 7s too, ugh....

Wow, Emily's floor score is low. They really must have tenth'd her to death. My goodness. You know they take a deduction if your foot isn't facing the right way, if you too many steps into your run on your tumbling pass, etc. That's too bad. Were the judges consistantly low? If they were low across the board then I guess it was fair.

I had watched videos earlier on your channel, some weird judging for sure. If Emily can make it to L7 she will SHINE!!! Her presentation is lovely and once all of that compulsory BS is taken away she will have great scores.

She should compete here with BabyBog, she would kick butt!

Madi si quite the little beam worker, nice to see her getting so grown up. Seems like she was the little one forever!

Wow she was robbed on floor. She is so at ease with that routine, it was just beautiful.

That is where compulsories drive me nuts. Presentation, flair and amplitude should could for something, but we all know it doesn't. It always seems a shame when someone really performs a routine and is outscored by a mile by a very robotic routine... But that's what compulsories is so she can just look forward to kicking butt as a 7!

What! She was completely robbed on floor. That was such a fluid, pretty routine! If it makes you feel better, I once had a judge score me about a point and a half lower than I should've been scored - my coach actually went up to the judges table and asked about it (he was furious) and they said they gave me that score because they had "seen me do better." !! Oh well, scores in compulsories are weird a lot of the time. Like everyone else said, she'll be kicking some butt in L7.

They both looked good. You could drive yourself crazy about the scores. I really feel it is so subjective. I do not even venture to quess the scores on my own daughter let alone somebody elses, LOL I could never be a judge! The girls looked like they were having fun most important. I think those compulsary floor routines are tough for alot of girls my daughter included, I think the challenge is making it through them and I am sure she will do much better in level 7. Isn't this Emily's 2nd year in 6 I do not know if my daughter would survive gymnastics if she had to repeat 6 again, the scoring seems really tough. She has alot of personality and her dance is really pretty she probally will be one of those kids who is a better optional. Your younger daughter really seems like she has developed alot of confidence this yearand looks really polished. Good luck to both of the girls for the rest of the season!
