I was wondering if there is a deduction for moving your front foot in the ending pose of the USAG level 4 floor routine. I thought I read somewhere that you can't move your front foot. I might be wrong, though. My coaches picked my ending pose:( and it requires me to slide my front foot back to be even with my back foot. I do round-off back handspring rebound, then step back and slide my front foot to my back foot and raise my arms like a salute.

At first I learned to always slide my foot back, then another coach came in and said that you aren't allowed to slide it back you should just force arch it, maybe a judge can weigh in, do you get deducted for sliding it back or is it just a matter of opinion?

Level 4 floor the text reads as follows:

17. Pose

(1)
Take a long step backward Left to finish in a Right lunge.
Arms: Lower sideward-downward to low position

(2)
Slide the Right foot backward to place the ball of the Right foot next to the Left foot in a forced arch position.
Arms: Optional
Focus: Optional

No deduction in sliding your foot back as that is how it's supposed to be done..
