Can I ask what you pay for monthly tuition? I have always wondered if my gym is overpriced compared to others. My daughters go 16 hours a week and we pay $400 for the first child and we get a 10% sibling discount on the other so that is another $360. Are we being ripped off or is this normal?

$150/month for 7.5 hrs a week.
The level that trains 16 hrs is $200/month.
I think there is a 10% sibling discount.

So much depends on the cost of living in your area so without knowing where you are and where everyone else is, these figures won't mean too much.
Also keep in mind, monthly tuition at each gym includes different things.
Ours is $355/month for 30 hours.
That is purely tuition- association fees, meet expenses and apparel are separate.
We do not have a booster club, FWIW.

I think you are getting a very good price. If yiu break it down $400 a month for $16 hours a week works out at around $6 per hour.

$6 per hour for extremely specialised coaching and equipment is better than you would get in most activities.

For the hours it seems fair- and some gyms don't extend sibling discounts to team either. We've paid between $13.50 and $4 per hour for team training. All in the same geographical area. It varies that much. It's all about whether or not you think you're getting something worth your money. When it comes to gym sometimes a place is worth a premium and sometimes it's not worth being somewhere even if it's the cheapest place you can find.

$335/month for 13 hours a week for level 4. I forget the exact amount but the level 5's go 17 hours and only pay around $25 more (~$360 I think). We do not have a booster club and this is tuition only and doesn't include competition fees, coach fees, etc during the competition season (which is a lot more $$).

We are in a big city with a high cost of living... and pay approximately $650/month tuition for 18 hrs/week during the school year and 25 hrs/week in the summer. I just did the math and it is roughly $9/hour. This does not include competition and coaches fees, leo, etc.

We pay $405 for 20 hours this includes coaches fees.
We live in a relatively medium COL place I think...

We pay $330 a month for 9 hrs...that's just tuition which does not include coaches fees, meet fees, equipment fees, and leo/warm ups etc.
we also don't get a sibling discount so I'd say no you definitely aren't getting ripped off :)

NY about 450 for 12 hours.

No booster club, all other fees, coaches, meets, Leo's etc.... pay as we go

$225 for 9 hours.
I think optionals pay $350ish for 16.
That's just for monthly tuition. Meets/assessment fees were $750 this year for compulsories, and leotard/warm ups were just shy of $200.

$450 - 28 hours - but is volunteering approximately 80 hours
$550 - 28 hours - no volunteering
We pay approximately $100-$125 a meet on top of that
Coaches fees and travel for regular meets included

Where do u live? Gym fees vary by region

Minnesota - I would tell you where exactly but I try to stay incognito on here ;)

We are in the same state! DD's gym is in a suburb of a very big city and I and pay over $600 for 16 hours/week. Every time there is one of these threads about cost of tuition I always think that I need to move. I'm always, always on the high end. ETA - that's just for tuition. Booster club fees are separate.
