Ok. I am ready to get going. I had to take 1 year off training because of having to work, promote our beam invention and marketing of my gymnastics book. Now, it's time to make room for getting into the swing of things. The only gym I'm allowed in as an adult is a 2 hour drive one way! So, I'm going to have to get into shape at home with my own equipment so I'm in good enough shape to make the trip to the gym and have it worth the $$$ and effort. We all know about gas prices!
My goal for 2009 is as follows:
Start out with:
1) pushups 15 reps X 3
2) Dips on my uneven bar 7 reps X 3
3) Pullups on my uneven bar to the limit X 3
4) HS pushups against a wall 15 reps X 3
5) V-Ups 25 reps X 3
6) Releves with 10 lb dumbbells 25 reps X 3
7) Squats with a jump 25 reps X 3
8) Hanging leg lifts from my uneven bar 12 reps X 3
9) Hanging straight arm pulls on my uneven bar 12 reps X 3
10) Hanging tuck ups on my uneven bar 15 reps X 3
11) Rocking in a hollow position all ways 15 reps X 3
12) Free hip HS pulls with a dowel stick with weights 12 reps x 3
13) Aerobics everyday
14) Running track starting at 1 mile working up to 5 miles little by little.
15) And of course, splits, oversplits, backbend work and upper body stretching!

After a month of this I'll let you all know how much I've improved. Then I will kick it up a notch! By the end of May I should be ready for the gym. :)

My main goal at the moment is to actually get a floor routine together for the aau nationals in Savannah, GA so I can actually compete and get my leg healed so I can tumble again.

I have lots of goals for this year!

First and foremost, have my back heal completely so that I can practice again, and hopefully by May so I can compete in prep op states.

Second, stay injury free for the rest of the year!

Skill goals:
Confidence and consistency with my front handspring vault.
Consistency with side aerial on floor.
Not being afraid of beam.
Consistent squat on and not being afraid of it.
Work full turn with leg at horizontal into floor routine.
RO BHS on floor without spot.
FHS step out FHS on floor.
Kip
Good form on my front hip circle.
Casts to horizontal or higher by myself.
180 degree split jumps on beam

I bet most if not all of these will happen--as long as you get better!!

Good luck Kylie! You have been looking forward to competing for awhile, and I hope it works out for you!!! Just take it easy on your leg. And Dan, once you are back in the gym and able to work yourself into it slowly, you'll totally rock. Your skills were coming along awesomely and after you get a chance to get yourself in better condition, I bet everything will come along even better

hope everyone's plans are coming along nicely! mine's just to get my confidence back and maybe enter some sort of competition by the end of the year, even though i'll have to have 10 weeks off as i'm in America! :) :) :) (which i'm ridiculously overexcited about!)
