Hi - I'm new to the chalkbucket. My 9 year old daughter has been doing gymnastics for about three years. She competed level 5 last year and did ok, her coaches said she can move up to level 6 if she gets her fly away on bars. She feels strongly that moving up is the best thing. I'm not sure - what does everyone think?

Hi and welcome to CB. My DD is also 9. She will be competing L4. The decision to move up is a difficult one. It really depends on so many things. I am sure someone here will have good advice for you.

Thanks - my dd did level four the year before last year. Her first year on team and qualified for state in her first meet, so she now has high expectations!
