I was wondering if anyone had any good drills for back handspring back handspring on the beam.

I have a back handspring on the high beam, as well as a relatively consistent back walkover back handspring and handstand back handspring.

Also, I tend to jump ever so slightly to the right.

Thanks!

practice the 2nd up on to a panel mat. it will help you later with layout step outs. oh...and don't jump ever so slightly to the right.:)

Agreed with dunno. Practice on a panel mat. You could even set up a panel mat at the end of a floor beam so you do your first BHS on the floor beam and your second up onto the panel mat. It's a different feeling than doing it on a line.

As for your jump to the right, where is your head. Are you turning your head ever so slightly to the right? Are you stretching more through your left as you reach back, while contracting through your left obliques? Honestly, those tend to be the most common factors I see when someone is going off to the side. Once you straighten out those issues, you tend to BHS straighter.
