Here is what Gymnastics Ontario has released

I don't understand why Ontario did this, it makes it harder for the rest of the provinces to travel to Ontario for meets. And correct me if I am wrong but don't lots of clubs in Ontario go to Gymnix? I know lots went to Wild Rose when that happened. Ontario will have to change their routines to go a meet that is just a province away.
And I agree that Gymnastics Canada should make another nation wide program that is similar to the provincial programs for all provinces, but not Ontario's system please.

Every province and territory uses the CPP, except Ontario. Ontario continues to try to fall in with the US, which is fine but it makes a challenge for Easterns etc.

Each province has other programmes that they use as well.

In the US there are many other gymnastics programmes besides the USAG JO one, there is Excel, JOGA, AAU, Mason Dixon etc etc. so many options fr kids who do not fit the USAG model. Ontario seems to have inter club, but perhaps that needs to be overhauled to have real meets and qualifiers to a final, in order to keep more kids involved.

getting stuck in L3 due to the dreaded kip is going to hurt lots of clubs. Though I can guarantee that the kip is going to be taught much earlier because of the change.

Stargazer, our circuit regional is great as you compete the skills you have for bonuses. So you would be the perfect fit for it. In the senior specialiste category there are many girls who competed P3/4 and dropped back due to hours and injury. At any level you can qualify to the challenge (provincials) on one apparatus, or all 6. It really has kept kids in the sport.

The larger Toronto gym's wont suffer (they have a much larger pool of athletes to choose from). It is the rest of the gym's that will suffer. My dd under the old system had a chance to compete 2-4 and in a few years move to provincial, however now I don't think it will be possible. I give her a year before she wants to quit due to the new system
